It teaches them that it's ok if you make a mistake as long as you were doing your best. It's also a great tool for helping parents to instill these values in their young children. I would recommend this book for ages pre-k to around 2nd grade or further if need be. Great writing and Joy is such a spunky character within her own right. Great illustration presentation as well. Two Thumbs UP!!

Not only does the book have a lesson for children inside, there's also a lesson for parents. It encourages children to do the right thing and do their best. It reminds parents to influence children by gaining their trust by admitting to their past mistakes, also. The Best of Joy is a good read for the whole family and a good gift to send to children that you may know.
