By Carol S Maggie is a curvy, beautiful ER nurse who had a couple dates previously with her brother's friend Declan but he seemed to lose interest and they stopped dating. When they meet again, Declan realizes that they had a misunderstanding and he should have pursued her before instead of letting her go. Declan has been a player for a long time so Maggie is reluctant to reveal her true feelings to him. Meanwhile, Declan wants to spend all his time with her.Their relationship begins to sizzle and then Maggie finds herself framed for theft at the hospital where she works. She asks Declan to help her as he is a very successful lawyer. But Declan wants to reignite their relationship as well. As things heat up, Declan figures out who is framing her but wants the suspect to come forward to clear Maggie.Characters are well developed and the hero and heroine are very likeable, Maggie's friends are very supportive, and her boss and her ex-boyfriend became very unlikeable as the story continued.Waiting impatiently for Part 3 to find out what will happen......

Ready for book #3 By Nikki Brackett I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.Declan and Maggie keep getting hotter and hotter. The chemistry they have is explosive. The feelings they have had for each for so long have finally begun to get to both of them. It's going to take alot for Maggie to regain her trust for Declan after his past now making it worse the text an her brother's secret. It's going to crush Maggie... I just hope she can see that regardless Declan loves her and with him bringing her brother down regardless of their friendship just goes to show how much he does love her... It's his best friend is going to have to turn in...This series is an exciting, steamy and suspenseful must read but you need to read book #1 to get the whole story and understand.Can't wait for part 3 to see what happens when she gets the news that will knock her to the ground.

The construction of the book is brilliant and is amazingly written By Kelley Jones The construction of the book is brilliant and is amazingly written. The author knows how to captivate the reader , yet realizes that as a caregiver you do not have hours to sit and read one chapter. She was able to capture the real life struggles of becoming the parent of the parent , the difficult choices that have to be made and the heart it takes to overcome the obstacles. This is by far a heartfelt read. Even though I have finished the book, I still find myself thinking about situations that were written.. I would recommend this to anyone that may be faced with a similar situation.

I am usually a YA reader because I don't like the graphic language and explicit content that I find in most adult fiction books, so I was delighted to find an adult book that I consider clean--which seem almost impossible to find. I felt like the characters and issues they were dealing with were believable and relatable, and the author set up the romance and plot line so it kept moving and I wasn't bored. I actually couldn't put it down. Definitely doesn't disappoint if you like romance but want a clean book that actually has a plot.

Kaitlyn, the main character, is an intelligent, authentic woman and I found myself rooting for her throughout the story. It’s refreshing that although this is a romance novel, the legal drama that Kaitlyn is going through is just as interesting as her love life. I’d definitely recommend this novel to anyone looking for a well-written, enjoyable romance story with complex characters and an alluring plot.

So i am not a person who reads this type of book ( i suppose it would be labeled romance or womens fiction idk ) but i totally jumped in to this head first. Sarah Gerdes has the ability to create some of the most dynamic characters and the absolute most descriptive dialogue between characters that had me continuously turning the pages and coming back for more. i hated finishing this book because i kept wanting more! Well written and well worth buying and reading!

They ended up talking with a few guys. Brad caught Whitney's attention and she walked up to him and started a conversation. They talked for a bit and left the bar. That didn't sit well with Melissa who tried to stop them with no success. Brad took her around and showed her where he worked. They were interrupted by some of Brads old friends. They tried to cause some trouble that didn't happen. Brad and Whitney ended up having sex and brad bit Whitney on the shoulder. It was an odd thing to do. Things started going strange for Whitney. All paranormal stuff that we only see in fairy tales strange. Whitney tried to ignore it but couldn't. I read this book in two days. I didn't want to put it down. I cant wait for book 2. This aurthur did an amazing job in her writing.

I think the author just got carried away with all her puns and corkiness that I lost interest shortly after chapter 3. The only thing that saved this book for me was the story line. You have a sexy hot men (Bear shifter) checking out a curvier women at the bar and from there its like action pack fun, in more than one way. While the couple is learning about each others they have to keep there eyes open for the pack that is currently after them. lots of action, and sexy hot bear shifter! I would have love to give this book more stars, I wish the author would have laid off the silly phases.I would rate this book 3 out of 5 fangsindependent reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock.

I love the description of the other areas through the fairy doors. Whitney and Brad have really hot sex. I'm glad the change to a bear was explained. Each author has a different take on werebear rules. There were many twists in the story that kept my attention. I was kept on the edge of my seat til the end. I feel conned.Also her behavior turned me off. I wish I knew that ...SPOiLERS belowShe sleeps with both men during the same period of time. One time only 24 hours apart. She is a cheating selfish immature piece of work. She is dating man 2 and is a virgin. She tells 2 that and he respects her, not rushing her. She runs into man 1 who she dumped for no good reason before meeting number 2. She cheats on 2 giving her v-card to number 1. Then she sleeps with 2 never telling him that she gave her v-card to 1.1 thinks she is giving the gift of her virginity. She had already throw it way while cheating. Neither man cheated on her, which I respected them for. At the End of the book she is not with either man man due to her own fault. The book ends at 2 years later with 1 having his own story where it appears he will try to get her back. So not wasting my time reading about her. She is not worthy of it nor worthy of either man.

I knew nothing about the book, but that it was written by a debut author Rebekah Rue. This was fortunate for me, because this is one of those books that are best read blind going in.The three main characters are Lo Knight, who is a only child, that has been raised in a very sheltered upbringing and overly protected her entire life, to the point that she just wants her parents to go away and leave her alone, so be careful of what you wish for or live the rest of your life in guilt and grief. Heath Maverick and Talon Baylor are both good looking bad-boys, tattooed, and hot blooded, but different in so many other ways. You will hate and love all these characters as you read their story.This story starts out with very teenager “coming of age” theme, but swiftly that changes to a “young adult” type book, so not appropriate for anyone under 18. There is a “very” complicated love triangle.I was so surprised how good the writing debut of this author was to read. It reminded me of Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens, and I ran through about all the same emotions. It also could be listed in the list of “What to read after Arsen” by Mia Asher. The second part of this book is that good!

By Kaylin Beaten by Rebekah Rue is a super intense, exciting, nail biting story about love, friendship, and loss.Let me start by saying my heart is broken and this book left me feeling all kinds of emotions. In a good way! I can honestly say that you will never be ready for some of the things Rebekah throws at you. Beaten was so intense that I could not, and would not, stop reading til I finished the book.This book is about a young girl , Lo, who lives with extremely strict parents. When they die, she blames their death on herself. She moves away to live with her best friend Maggie, leaving her first love, Heath, without any notice. Lo soon meets a big ladies man named Talon. Talon knows that Lo is enough to tame him and it is instant attraction. Lo saves Talon."You fell to me from heaven and have become my heart. I love you."One day, Lo's first love comes to town. Is Lo's love for Talon strong enough to survive once Heath is back in the picture?I was so emotionally attached to the characters. Lo was extremely relatable and I cried with her, laughed with her, loved with her, and hated with her. Now Talon, that boy is PERFECT. He changes completely for Lo, and is willing to go above and beyond for her.This book made me so happy and so sad. It was perfect though. The story was so perfect and I loved it so much! I highly recommend this book!** I glanced below my review and read a few others. I believe that these reviews are a bit unfair. It's a book, and a damn good one too! Yes, cheating is bad, but it allows us to feel what Lo is feeling. Her cheating really gives us, the reader, a chance to understand how bad she wants these two men.

Archer B. Helmsley has grown up in a house full of oddities and treasures collected by his grandparents, the famous explorers. He knows every nook and cranny. He knows them all too well. After all, ever since his grandparents went missing on an iceberg, his mother barely lets him leave the house.

It helps that he has friends like Adélaïde L. Belmont, who must have had many adventures since she ended up with a wooden leg. (Perhaps a crocodile ate it. Perhaps not.) And Oliver Glub. Oliver will worry about all the details (so that Archer doesn't have to).

And so Archer, Adélaïde, and Oliver make a plan. A plan to get out of the house, out of their town entirely. It's a good plan.

Well, it's not bad, anyway.

But nothing goes quite as they expect.

I did not imagine I would be as consumed as I was with it, but not only is it a beautiful book to own and to look at, it is also a great story put together by the extremely talented Nicholas Gannon.The story involves eleven year old Archer Helmsley, whose family knew he was a dreamer from the day he was born, not unlike his grandparents, Ralph and Rachel Helmsley, who are very well-known explorers. His parents are more grounded in reality, with his father being a lawyer, and his mother trying her best to keep him away from his grandparents' influence, because she disapproves of them and their lifestyle. However, living in his grandparents' house, which is filled with objects they have collected throughout their countless expeditions, makes it difficult for his imagination to stand still. He dreams of becoming an explorer and leaving the house. More so, he dreams of starting an expedition to Antarctica to find his grandparents who have gone missing on an iceberg two years prior.Archer is completely alone and a prisoner of his own home, until Oliver Glub enters the picture and meets Archer through their neighboring balconies. Oliver is a little more grounded and is therefore a good partner in crime to Archer's crazy ideas. Add to that Adelaide Belmont, the French girl with one leg allegedly eaten by a crocodile, who has recently moved in next door and provides the support Archer needs to plan this expedition, but also endless amount of delicious croissants and coffee, and you have yourself a solid trio ready to go on this crazy adventure.With the help of his two new friends, Archer finds himself trying to overcome many obstacles, not in the least that of his overprotective mother and scary new teacher.A wonderful, adventurous story that keeps you invested in all the characters and rooting so badly for the three children, who each agree to go with this mad plan for different reasons, and with the beautiful illustrations and artwork, you have yourself a keeper.I strongly advise you to have a large stock of fresh chocolate croissants and coffee while reading this book.

Archer B. Helmsley wants to go on an adventure. Not just any adventure. He wants to save his Grandparents, the famous explorers, Ralph and Rachel Helmsley, whom are reportedly lost on an iceberg from their latest adventure to Antarctica. Convinced that his Grandparents are alive, Archer has to figure out a way to escape the house he's been bound to, thanks to his Mother, whom disapproves of his "tendencies" as she calls them. No matter how hard his mother tries to stop it, she can't stop a Helmsley.Archer was destined to follow in his parents footsteps. Their world is one quirky, unforgettable adventure. The house they left for Archer to grow up in is full of many interesting things. Like the stuffed Polar Bear that Archer can talk to. The Flamingoes, the badger and many other fascinating things. All these things add to Archer's desire for an adventure to save the Grandparents he doesn't even remember meeting. There's something about them that drives Archer to find them. The clues they leave behind for him, only fuel his desire to rescue them.Thankfully Archer has a great group of eccentric friends whom want to help him. I loved this group of friends. Each friend is someone who is unique and I loved all their little quirks, that make them individually fabulous. Like Oliver, the shy next door neighbor, and Adelaide, the new girl who moved in across the street, from Paris. She used to be a ballerina dancer under a freak accident left her with a wooden leg. She is seriously amazing. Have I already mentioned that I loved this group of friends? I loved that though Oliver might be timid, and Adelaide might be small, and Archer might be seen as an outcast, these three are incredibly loyal and brave. I loved that they figure out a way to make the impossible adventure to travel to Antarctica, but it's not without some fantastic twists... or should I say mishaps.The Doldrums is an epic, unforgettable adventure. With mishaps, and misfortunes, the real heart of this story lies with Archer and his friends. Readers of all ages will enjoy the journey of Archer and his friends. Nicholas Gannon's writing and artwork are beautiful. I felt like he captured those middle grade reader years beautifully. I loved this book's art. Okay loved is an understatement. The artwork is breathtaking, or as I liked to say, I'd frame it and hang it in my office. The artwork alone made this book for me. The bonus was getting to meet Archer, Oliver and Adelaide. I hope there are many more books to follow in the adventures of these unforgettable friends.

Funny, touching & wildly inventive By webshred I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked this up, but the gorgeous cover and meticulously crafted illustrations made the book irresistible. As it turns out, the story is just as good. The other reviews already tell you what it's about. What I'll tell you is this is a charming, witty story told in a classic, understated manner reminiscent of many of the books I loved growing up. The characters are wonderful, and though it takes a little while for them all to come together, when they do, it feels as if they've been friends forever. I'm really looking forward to the next installment, but the book stands by itself. It doesn't leave you hanging. It just leaves you wanting more of Archer, Oliver and Adelaide's adventures.
