By Edit I'm really disappointed because I thought this was the updated version of the original book, which had several hands on activities and worksheets that go along with the social story, but this is JUST THE SOCIAL STORY. I can't seem to find the original one at a reasonable price. It's listed for over $500 on Amazon... RIDICULOUS!!!

By Amazon Customer My student did a small group project making a remote control that went along with the strategies they used in this book. My students were engaged and excited about the book and followed up with using the strategies in other school settings as they took their remotes and used them to pause (think about their next move), change channels (get back on the math channel), fast forward (think ahead) and tell themselves "way to go" for doing a good job.

A couple of spelling errors, but overall an AMAZING program and useful social story =) By Christiana Santos I love this program and I use it all the time as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist. I modify the language and shorten the text when working with younger kids. It works so well with kids that have self-control and regulation issues. My only problem with this book is a couple of spelling errors I noticed as I was reading it with the kids. One in the beginning and the other in a later section of the book. Please fix those, and then this will be perfect!! =) I recommend this program to everyone, so I want this product to be flawless.

His New Jam is the 5th novel in Ms. Schroeder's Hot & Nerdy series. It is full length, has an HEA and no cliffhanger. It is told from a first person POV between the two main characters. It can be read as a standalone, but for optimal enjoyment with the last three books in this series, I would suggest starting with the fourth book. They all interconnect without actually needing to be read to understand them, it just makes it more fun if you do!I loved this story from the get go. Was in I band? Yes! Was I in marching band? No. However, the writing, and the story line within are engrossing. You get pulled into the world, and it will make sense for you.One of my favorite things about this book? How Hunter and Sydney meet. I was beyond amused and laughing at Hunter's antics. This guy is full on trying to get one particular girl's attention and he doesn't give up about it. He's been trying for awhile too!The chemistry between the pair simmered, but it's no so overt that that you lose the story to just that. They completely clash at first. Sydney wants nothing to do with Hunter. It's sort of a tug-of-war between them, a back-and-forth. Hunter wanting Sydney's attention, Sydney alternatively just wanting him to go away.You'll also come to enjoy the co-characters within this book and want to learn about them. Which is great, because they have their own books!Overall, it's a great read, that isn't too long. Engaging characters with a fun story line, and parts that will have you laughing out loud. It will also have you wanting to know how it ends. I've given it a full 5 stars.

This is the fifth book in the series and overlaps with His Work of Art (book 4). This story is about how Hunter and Sydney find their way to each other. Sydney is a talented percussionist who frustrated by sexism in the marching band. Hunter, who plays saxophone, tries to flirt with her by playing different songs while she enters or leaves the field during practice. Sydney knows he a player, but she mostly ignores him and keeps her head down. At the end of the marching season, Hunter manages to get a reaction from Sydney that their friendship/relationship progresses from their. Sydney is wary of romance and make Hunter work for her attention. Will he be able to convince her to give him a chance to be more than band mates?This is rapidly becoming one of my favorite new adult series. Ms. Schroeder is able to create complex realistic characters that are fun to read about. I have read at least one of the previous books, and was able to see the same event from a different perspective. I loved the characters, the music and almost everything about this book. I look forward to the next. I was given a free copy for an honest review by netgalley.com

Book Reviews 3.5 out of 5 stars, Sydney has dealt with a difficult dating experience and knows that she never wants to be with a man who will treat her that way again. So, when Hunter, a college senior and lead saxophonist in the marching band, singles her out and majorly flirts with her it makes her leery. She thinks he's hot and as they get to know one another better through their love of music she trusts him better, yet Hunter seems too much like her ex-boyfriend. And Hunter will do whatever it takes to prove to her that he is the man for her!This sweetly erotic novel keeps you on your toes with its quirky characters and fast paced plotline. I was intrigued with Hunter with how he goes about winning over Sydney’s affection one serenade at a time. In addition, I liked how they came together as a couple. Nevertheless, I wish Sydney’s POV wasn’t portrayed as harsh as it was and that the ending had an epilogue.Overall, I do recommend this novel to those looking for a quirky New Year’s Celebration New Adult contemporary romance!Review By: From Me to You ... About the Author Mark Twain, born Samuel Langhorne Clemens, was an American humorist and writer, who is best known for his enduring novels The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, which has been called the Great American Novel. Raised in Hannibal, Missouri, Twain held a variety of jobs including typesetter, riverboat pilot, and miner before achieving nationwide attention for his work as a journalist with The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County. He earned critical and popular praise for his wit and enjoyed a successful career as a public speaker in addition to his writing. Twain s works were remarkable for his ability to capture colloquial speech, although his adherence to the vernacular of the time has resulted in the suppression of his works by schools in modern times. Twain s birth in 1835 coincided with a visit by Halley s Comet, and Twain predicted, accurately, that he would go out with it as well, dying the day following the comet s return in 1910.

By End User This is a great intro to C (especially for programmers versed in other languages) , but this book (Kindle version) is riddled with typos, and badly. Declared variables that don't match the code that follows, etc. When the author introduces one of the most potentially confusing topics, pointers, this sentence isn't helping: "When you define a function within a function, it has a scope". Should have been "When you define a variable within a function, it has a scope."Author, if you send me a hard copy of this book, I will mark it up for you for free. But you have to promise to never use your editor again.

Lamarra The book has no page number, no index, typos all over the place, and it's difficult to distinguish text from code (the same font is used for both). Very little time went into formatting the book. The book is OK if you're already a programmer & just need to learn C++. However, there's not much detail here. For instance, gathering user input is only ONE page.

I find this book very helpful and informative in ways of how different body movements and positions can be interpreted and how are they being represented to be able to read the one in front of you. Nonverbal communication is something that is being practiced every day without us even noticing it. This book explains how to interpret those movements and would really help you gauge the one in front of you, and would really help in everyday life and having some knowledge in this field would somewhat make it a little bit easier if you want to move forward or back off. I just want you to know how happy I am that I stumbled upon your blog many months ago while searching the internet (late at night, while my husband was sleeping soundly) for answers, support, someone to relate to about my sons tics. You made me feel "ok" to feel what I was feeling and made me laugh when I was sad and frustrated. But most importantly you helped me see that I can't do alot about the tics, but I can help myself and my son by not being so super sonically aware of when he tics. This is much easier to say now while we are in a (could be) tic hiatus, but when they surface I go back to your advice and try and follow it. You were the one that turned me onto magnesium and taurine (via the naturopath), but it has helped tremendously. Thank you so much for sharing your story, without you I would be a mess (more than normal, that is).

It was written with humor and hope and I'd definitely put this on the must read list for any parent of a kid who dances to his own beat. Great and quick read!

This book is a good one to learn about the condition and how it affected one mom.Frazer's son was diagnosed with the syndrome and her perfect world exploded. She looked for books with support, hope, and a little humor. Not finding any, she wrote one herself.This is a very enlightening and informative book. I'd heard about the swearing outbursts but was surprised to find that less than ten percent of the kids uncontrollably curse. Her son had tics, twitches, coughs, etc. There is a great section where Frazer defines terms. That will help parents of newly diagnosed children know what the professionals are talking about.Frazer is very honest about her experiences, especially how her son's diagnosis affected her. She tended to be a wreck from time to time. She and her husband tried to find out what caused their son's symptoms and what helped alleviate them. They were informed about drugs but tried some alternative treatment. She writes about their experience being told they needed an IEP. They entered a clinical trial.Frazer herself went to counseling, trying to deal with her own insecurities. She tells great stories, giving a delightful sense of humor in the midst of this serious topic. Part of her honesty includes some swearing and vulgar language.I learned a great deal about Tourette's, including how much research as to its cause and treatment is inconclusive. I liked that ultimately, Frazer found strength in her faith to make it through her experiences.I recommend this book to those who want to know more about Tourette's and how one mom made her way through the experience.I received a complimentary digital copy of this book through The Book Club Network for the purpose of an independent and honest review.

Saying that, the author's storytelling technique had a way of making this reader suffer to the point of thinking about doing the unheard of; throwing her Kindle against the wall! An intriguing plot full of suspense and twist and turns had me sitting on the edge and is exactly my cup of tea. In essence, the author has outdone herself brilliantly regarding the flow between the books. How did she do it? Snippets from the past were cannily added to the storyline helping us remember details which one could have forgotten. Up until now, the leading man's modus operandi had me asking a lot of questions. I needed answers to the whys and wherefores of his acts and even though I had suspected that he had something up his sleeve in the last book, I wasn't going to find out what it was at the drop of a hat. Oh boy, does Jett Mayfield come back in full force!Firstly, The Lover's Promise was told from Brooke Stewart's point of view and I must say made me eager to find out why Jett left the love of his life with such a weak excuse because neither Brook nor I had any idea. Regardless of him annoying the pants off me, discovering what really made him tick was an absolute joy. Now he's given the chance to tell his side of the story which I liked immensely. I'd been on Brookes' team throughout; however, in this book my connection with Jett was just a matter of on what line should I sign and can't wait for you to deliver Jett! I had no doubt whatsoever that he would get his act together. Well-knowing Brooke was in danger would mean he'd have to fight with an open heart and for once in his life, be honest. Secretive by nature, how he's going to delegate the goings on in his personal life became a real dilemma. Always controlling, now he has to have faith in the loyalty and expertise of a friend, and for me, made him bigger than life. Past mistakes weigh heavily, time is running out, and the odds of him bringing down his and Brooke's enemy is complicated. Complicated being the optimum word.Jett ~ “It is still my responsibility to protect you, whether you want it or not.”Brooke has a habit of shying away from problems as we all know from the previous book. But that doesn't mean that she's not prepared to look for solutions to move on without Jett in her life. When she discovers her friend meets with the worst, her coping mechanism kicks in and we see a stronger Brooke.Kenny ~ “She's a lot stronger than you give her credit for bro.”I thought she was very brave in parts of the story and was convinced that her reasons for being so generously forgiving was nothing less than true love. And Jett knows this. By giving more of himself, there's a chance they can build a future together. Tender, compassionate moments touched my heart making a tear or two fall. Does he deserve her after everything they'd been through you?You'll only find out by reading their story.Jett ~ “But I'm not that same man anymore, Brooke. The player in me is gone. For what's it's worth, meeting you changed me. You made me a better man.”Whether the secondary characters are the goodies or the baddies, they are all well-developed. I couldn't help but like Brooke's bestie who had her back at all times, and is honest about her feeling towards Jett. I love a read when the protagonists' opinions are told from both sides, too. Banter is of utmost importance and this last book abounds with brilliant one-liners and overflows with emotion. Watching them, because I did feel like I was, strive to find their happy medium was an unforgettable journey of hope and everything one would expect in a story of this calibre. This series hasn't been an easy ride for the reader, either. Left on tenterhooks in The Lover's Promise, there are more nail-biting moments of tension than in this last instalment. Bedroom scenes explicitly illustrated which I considered a plus, were scorching hot and an extremely satisfying epilogue leaves me with no option but to say bravo to you Ms Reed.
