Excerpt from The Poetry of Robert BrowningParnassus Apollo's mount, has two peaks, and on these, for sixty years, from 1830 to 1890, two poets sat, till their right to these lofty peaks became unchallenged. Beneath them, during these years, on the lower knolls of the mount of song, many new poets sang; with diverse instruments, on various subjects, and in manifold ways. They had their listeners; the Muses were also their visitants; but none of them ventured seriously to dispute the royal summits where Browning and Tennyson sat, and smiled at one another across the vale between. Both began together; and the impulses which came to them from the new and excited world which opened its fountains in and about 1832 continued to impel them till the close of their lives.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. 6 of 8 people found the following review helpful. Slightly Tedious By Mrs.featherpicker I'm still trying to get through this. I was at first disappointed in that the actual poetry and writings seem to be lost in a fog of other writers and what they have to say either about themselves or Browning. I really wasn't looking for a history of the works. I suppose I can continue on and may eventually find what I was looking for. One read on this will most likely be "it".UPDATE: Jan. 5, 2013Well, I tried again to find something redeeming about this work. Just couldn't do it. Anthing that wears me out like this I really don't need. No point in taking up space on my Kindle with it. I will be deleting it from it and my library today.

4 of 5 people found the following review helpful. No poetry By Rocabatus I don't understand why it's called "The Poetry of Robert Browning" when it's anything but. While there are some (very few) poems, they are scattered among someone else's (not Browning's) prose. Utterly useless.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A treasure of witty commentary from 1882 By Helen H. Gordon For those who think that the Shakespeare authorship question is something new, this book will be a revelation.Morgan surveys the literature and biographical hand-me-downs dealing with Shakspere of Stratford, concludinglogically that the Stratford businessman cannot be the same person as the writer of the plays. He points outthe name "Shakspere" was originally a French name "Jacques Pierre" that was badly pronounced by Englishsettlers around Warwickshire. And he tells readers frankly about the messy world of printers and plagiariststhat was Elizabethan England. The Stationers Register had total control over printed matter, and when aprinter got his hands on a written work he could do anything he wanted with it. That's why most of the printedplays in Shakespeare's day were pirated, and why the First Folio was composed primarily of prompt copies oractor's part scripts, not the original and complete play. Morgan also writes with a delightful wit and lucid style.

I was born on a very cold winter night in a crude pioneer log cabin just two months after Dad quickly build it in 1930 on the shore of a big lake in an isolated part of Alaska. Then I grew up in this beautifully rugged, but often difficult, land; and gained that “feminine as a rusty fishhook” reputation by doing many man-type jobs. However, time would show I still did ok with the boys; and this story extends past my early years. It was nice when the lake was frozen over and lots of snow on the ground so we could ice skate and ski; all right there near our home. What fun! But winter also meant using my own dog team and working a trap line starting at age eleven. Summers meant lots more work to help with fishing and freighting; but there was also the fun of boating, swimming, hiking, and all kinds of wild berries to pick. Our family were all fully Bible-based Christians; so Bible-study with prayer gave us comfort and help during many trying times and tragedies. It also made our social life more interesting, and drew many in need of help to our home. It was such a comfort through it all, to know that God was on our side.

Problems posed by Syria s chemical weapons attacks, Egypt s ouster of an elected government, and myriad other global dilemmas beg the question of whether and how the world can be governed. The challenge is addressing what former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan called Problems without Passports environmental, economic, humanitarian, and political crises that threaten stability, prosperity, and even human survival. Everything is globalized everything "except" politics, which remain imprisoned behind national borders. The world has changed, but our basic way of managing it has not. We pursue fitful, tactical, short-term, and local responses for actual or looming threats that require sustained, strategic, longer-run, and global actions. With clarity and passion, Thomas G. Weiss argues for a diversity of organizational arrangements some centralized, some decentralized and a plurality of problem-solving strategies some worldwide, some local. He proposes a three-pronged strategy: the expansion of the formidable amount of practical global governance that already exists, the harnessing of political and economic possibilities opened by the communications revolution, and the recommitment by states to a fundamental revamping of the United Nations."

Governing the World?: Addressing "Problems Without Passports" (International Studies Intensives), by Thomas G. Weiss

Review Tom Weiss's book is published in the International Studies Intensives (ISI) series which is addressed at students and intended "to offer an intensive introduction to subjects often left out of the curriculum." [I]t achieves this objective, and more, by providing an introduction to the state of the field of International Relations (IR) studies and helpful bibliographic leads for more intensive reading. As a survey book, Governing the World? amply illustrates the ever increasing chasm between pressing global problems and the woefully inadequate institutions charged with resolving them.-ACUNS ReviewGoverning the World? is a sure-footed guide to the perplexities of governing globalization. When problems come without passports, governance beyond the state becomes necessary. Drawing on decades of experience and insight, Tom Weiss illuminates the problems and demonstrates that solutions are at hand in reformed international institutions, both governmental and nongovernmental. Michael Doyle, Columbia UniversityIn Governing the World?, Tom Weiss lucidly draws on his broad academic and practical experience with global issues to reflect on capacity gaps in governing the world today. In doing so, he weaves into his insights a rich trove of scholarly and policy accounts to give us a much-needed conceptual and analytical tool to theorize and to develop a framework for global governance. Charlotte Ku, University of Illinois College of LawGoverning the World? is the best concise treatment of global governance available. Professor Weiss builds on a distinguished record of scholarship on international cooperation over many decades. He delivers a judicious, informed, and approachable treatment of the most significant issues surrounding collective action in international and global society. His analysis is also refreshingly, but not unrealistically, optimistic. --S. Neil MacFarlane, University of Oxford

About the Author Thomas G. Weiss is Presidential Professor of Political Science at The City University of New York s Graduate Center and Director Emeritus of the Ralph Bunch Institute for International Studies. He is also research professor at SOAS, University of London. Past president of the International Studies Association, Chair of the Academic Council of the UN System, and editor of Global Governance, he has written extensively about multilateral approaches to international peace and security, humanitarian action, and sustainable development.

9 of 10 people found the following review helpful. Very well done! By Dave Nelson This third in the Baby Sitters Club (BSC) series of graphic novels is my favorite so far. Raina's drawings seem more detailed and lively in each successive book. I've been buying the BSC graphic novels for my niece who is finding real inspiration in the artwork while simply enjoying Ann Martin's time-honored stories, and I heartily recommend this series both for the clean, yet engaging stories, as well as the excellent graphics. Especially recommended for girls who are reluctant readers, because graphic novels are many times a great introduction to storytelling in book form.

6 of 8 people found the following review helpful. Hidden Strength By Little Willow Mary Anne Spier is an only child. With her late mother a distant memory, she really depends on her dad, her best friend Kristy (who is as loud as Mary Anne is quiet!), and her other friends, artistic Claudia and sophisticated Stacey, to bring her out of her shell. But she kind of likes being IN that shell. She also really likes being the secretary of the Baby-Sitters Club (which the idea-filled Kristy started) and baby-sitting kids in the neighborhood. When the members of the BSC have an unexpected fight, everything goes topsy-turvy, and Mary Anne feels very lonely. A little while later, she has a baby-sitting emergency. At first, she doesn't know what to do without adults or her friends around, but soon enough, she musters up the courage to speak up and do what needs to be done.I was a huge fan of the original BSC series by Ann M. Martin, and I absolutely adore the new graphic novels. Raina Telgemier has done a wonderful job preserving the original storylines and depicting the characters and their environments as they were described in the books. Mary Anne - who was always my favorite character - looks a lot like I always pictured her, braids and all. Three cheers for this, the third book in the BSC Graphix line!

Mary Anne finds herself babysitting a child that comes down with a very high fever who has become listless and hard to wake up. She does an excellent job checking the child's temperature, remembering where the emergency numbers were and contacting the people on the list. This book is a great reminder of how to stay calm in an emergency situation and how to be organized in as well. Thankfully the young girl's problem was easily fixed, which isn't the case with the four members of the Baby Sitters Club. They have a falling out and try to run the club without actually speaking to one another. Over the few weeks that they are not speaking to one another, Mary Anne does a lot of growing up and learns to take charge, both in the above situation and at home with her father. It will take someone very strong and assertive to get the club back on track. Is Mary Anne up for the job? Read for yourself to find out!I'm happy to see my ten year old getting interested in this series. They bring out some important life lessons, like divorce, losing a parent, helping a sick child etc... They also show kids doing something useful with their time and making friendships last a lifetime, even when it gets hard. I enjoyed rereading this story as an adult and I'm sure your child will enjoy it too.By Kerri J. BusteedAuthor of Will's First Hunt Will's First Hunt

This new perspective has helped me to let go of the anger and resentment that I've held for many years. It also helped me appreciate the relationships I have and want to be a better wife, mother, employee and overall a better person. This was a quick read, but I read it over the course of a few weeks, as the author poses questions throughout the book and I took time to reflect on these questions about my own experiences. I enjoy that the author shares her own experiences and those of clients (as a life coach). I also enjoyed that the chapters are broken up by different types of relationships (family, friends, work, pets, etc), not focusing on only one type of relationship.Great read for anyone and I have recommended it to many of my friends and family, as we all could use a more positive perspective on life!

I would call this the thinking person's guide to understanding why we repeat certain mistakes over and over in our lives. I was delighted by the intelligence and breadth of this approach. I often buy self-improvement books, and then don't read them after a chapter or two -- not because their message isn't valuable, but because the book just basically bores me. Not this one, because the author not only makes it relevant, but shares a lot about her own personal (and professional) background. This will be one of the books I refer to over and over, and will eventually end up reading again a few years from now. I find good sense and inspiration on every page, and I highly recommend it.Five stars!

By Richard Hopkins "Why I Chose You" is a beautifully written book that helped me understand and process family dynamics, life choices and how family and friends greatly impact our decisions and journey in life. This great read showed me how to heal and use past hurts to positively impact my own life & others. I highly recommend any person buy this book because it's an investment in bettering yourself. I received the best life-coach experience from this author and life coach, Lisa Thal, just reading this book. I couldn't put it down and finished it in 2 hours. I don't typically buy self-help books but this one helped me and will help you too.Sherri H "Country Girl"

The philosophies of HENRY DAVID THOREAU (1817-1862)-hero to environmentalists and ecologists, profound thinker on humanity's happiness-have greatly influenced the American character, and his writings on human nature, materialism, and the natural world continue to be of profound import today. In this essay, first published in the Atlantic Monthly in 1862 and vital to any appreciation of the great man's work, Thoreau explores: the joys and necessities of long afternoon walks; how spending time in untrammeled fields and woods soothes the spirit; how Nature guides us on our walks; the lure of the wild for writers and artists; why "all good things are wild and free"; and more. This edition of Walking has a new introduction by avid walker, essayists, and guidebook author Tom Alyea. There are also original photos and quotes to keep you inspired long after you've read the essay.

Walking, by Henry David Thoreau

From the Back Cover A meandering ode to the simple act and accomplished art of taking a walk. Profound and humorous, companionable and curmudgeonly. Walking, by America's first nature writer, is your personal and portable guide to the activity that, like no other, awakens the senses and soul to the 'absolute freedom and wildness' of nature.

About the Author Henry David Thoreau was an American author, poet, and philosopher, who is best known for his works Waldena treatise about living in concert with the natural worldand Civil Disobedience, in which he espoused the need to morally resist the actions of an unjust state. Thoreau s work heavily reflects the ideologies of the American transcendentalists, and he has long been considered a leading figure in the movement along with Ralph Waldo Emerson, Bronson Alcott, and, at first, Nathaniel Hawthorne (who changed his views later in life). In addition to his writing, which totaled more than twenty volumes, Thoreau was an active abolitionist, and lectured regularly against the Fugitive Slave Law. Thoreau died in 1862, and is buried along with Louisa May Alcott, Ellery Channing, and other notable Americans in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, Massachusetts.

He writes about his love of nature and tries to show others how to enjoy it. This book brings out the beauty of all the surroundings that many people pass by every day. It also encouraged me to get out and live up my ocasional stroll around the neighborhood. I took this book to school and it even helped relieve me a little stress. I recommend this book to all nature lovers.

64 of 72 people found the following review helpful. In defense of wilderness By Gary Sprandel More than any book, this argues for experiencing nature and preserving wilderness. Thoreau himself saw that fewer passenger pigeons were visiting and even then was aware of threats. Though first spoken in lectures on 1851, and 1856-1857, and published in June 1862 Atlantic Monthly, a month after his death, it still speak to us in the 21st century. For example ".. what would become of us, if we walked only in a garden or a mall?", . "In wilderness is the preservation of the world." , "To preserve wild animals implies generally the creation of a forest for them to dwell in or resort to. So it is with man". So lace up your shoes, grab your binoculars, and go for a walk and join the tribe of squirrels!

66 of 76 people found the following review helpful. It helped to open my eyes to the world around me! By A Customer It is a perfect little book to carry with you for inspiration. It makes me want to take a walk... and the beautiful thing about this book is that it allows me to take a walk in my mind without ever leaving my office or room. I have and will continue to read it over and over.

Six of Crows, by Leigh Bardugo

Amazon.com Review

An Amazon Best Book of October 2015: Leigh Bardugo is a fascinating storyteller and in her latest book, Six of Crows, she’s stepped up her game even more. At the heart of the novel is Kaz Brekkar, a mysterious young man who has clawed his way to notoriety in a city fueled by corruption and greed. When Kaz is asked to perform an extremely dangerous heist in return for a staggering sum of money, he calls upon his most trusted compatriots to help. The story is told from multiple points of view and readers discover what led each character to Kaz in the first place, as well as his own shocking path. Six of Crows is a vivid, entertaining fantasy that boldly captures the imagination and leaves an impression well after the novel’s cliff-hanger ending. -- Seira Wilson

From School Library Journal Gr 7 Up—Bardugo has created a wildly imaginative story of six young people who have been commissioned to pull off the greatest heist of all time. They are to nab the creator of jurda parem, a highly addictive product that enhances the innate paranormal powers of the Grisha peoples, in the hopes of creating weapons of war that will upset the balance of power and destroy the economies of rival governments. Kaz, the hero of the story and mastermind of the plot, recruits five others to aid in his quest for revenge for the loss of his brother and the promise of vast wealth. Taking what could have been stock characters of young adult fiction—the loner, the rebel, the outcast, and the con artist, the author has fashioned fully fleshed out, dynamic protagonists who will engage and enchant readers. What a thrill it is to return to the world she created with her popular "Grisha Trilogy" (Holt). While the unresolved ending may frustrate some teens, the promise of a sequel will give them hope that this unsettling, captivating, magical journey will continue.—Jane Henriksen Baird, Anchorage Public Library, AK

As a member of the gang called the Dregs, Kaz assembles and leads the best team to commit less-than-savory jobs. When Kaz is approached by a powerful man to break into the well-guarded Ice Court and rescue a scientist with a dangerous formula that has the potential to start a war, Kaz must find just the right partners to pull off the ambitious heist. The odds are stacked against him and with a team full of people with questionable pasts, this job may not just be impossible, it may be their last.Six of Crows is the first installment in Leigh Bardugo’s new series which takes place in the same universe as her immensely popular Grisha trilogy. If you are unfamiliar with her debut series, this one might be a little confusing as it is written with the understanding that the reader already has a grasp on the world involving Grisha. Bardugo’s writing immediately drew me in, her world is rich, her characters are complex, and the story line provided plenty of twists that kept me guessing till the end. Though the characters in this novel are in their teens, they could have easily been written as older characters with burdensome backstories and intelligent personalities.Six of Crows focuses on six different characters. Kaz, infamous thief called Dirtyhands, always has a trick up his sleeve, he’s incredibly clever and savvy. He plays his cards close to his chest, making him unreadable and unnervingly unflappable. Because of his closed-off personality, even those who know him feel that they’ve never seen the real Kaz, something he has made sure of. Known as the Wraith, Inej’s specialty is stealth, able to blend into the shadows and deadly in fight. She’s tried her best to forget the horrors of her past but some scars are hard to erase.Nina is a Heartrender, a Grisha with the ability to manipulate a person’s organs. Her complicated history with the Fjerdan Matthias managed to break my heart even before I knew what led to one being imprisoned in Hellgate. As a former drüskelle, Fjerdan soldiers tasked with hunting down Grisha, Matthias struggles to reconcile his people’s image of the threatening Grisha with Nina. Rounding out Kaz’s crew is the jovial Jesper, with secrets of his own and knack for getting into trouble, and Wylan, a newbie to the seedy underworld of Ketterdam, who eventually earns his keep in the group.Leigh Bardugo’s Six of Crows is a thrilling ride, which manages to be fun while taking the reader on a dangerous adventure. Brilliantly paced, this first installment had me wishing it would never end and I cannot wait to find out what happens next.

Review for Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo By Alyssa ***Review posted on The Eater of Books! blog***Six of Crows by Leigh BardugoBook One of the Six of Crows seriesPublisher: Henry Holt and CompanyPublication Date: September 29, 2015Rating: 4 starsSource: ARC gifted (thank you, Kel!)Summary (from Goodreads):Ketterdam: a bustling hub of international trade where anything can be had for the right price—and no one knows that better than criminal prodigy Kaz Brekker. Kaz is offered a chance at a deadly heist that could make him rich beyond his wildest dreams. But he can't pull it off alone...A convict with a thirst for revenge.A sharpshooter who can't walk away from a wager.A runaway with a privileged past.A spy known as the Wraith.A Heartrender using her magic to survive the slums.A thief with a gift for unlikely escapes.Six dangerous outcasts. One impossible heist. Kaz's crew is the only thing that might stand between the world and destruction—if they don't kill each other first. What I Liked:Okay, fine. The hype for this book is totally justified. Whether you read Bardugo's Grisha trilogy or not, whether you enjoyed it or not, you could easily fall in love with Six of Crows. On that note, you do not need to have read - or even liked - the Grisha trilogy. It's not necessary at all! The Grisha references are the setting, the locations and places. No characters make cameos (that I remember - but I'm shaky on my Grisha knowledge sometimes), nothing dire you needed to know from the Grisha trilogy. Set in the same world, but in totally different places, with totally different characters.Kaz Brekker is the most dangerous person in the Barrel, in Ketterdam. He is a gifted thief with an insatiable desire for money, and for solving puzzles and having all the tricks. He always has the drop on everyone, and he takes very risky risks that always seem to work in his favor. When Kaz is presented an opportunity with a large payout and even great risks, he has no other choice but to take it. He and five other unique individuals embark on a job, an impossible heist, to capture one thing and bring it back. But getting into the Ice Court is suicide, and getting there might prove even more perilous before the job has even begun.I think the thing that I liked the most about this book is that the tone of the book isn't gloom and doom, save the world, martyr or die trying kind of tone, like in Shadow and Bone/Siege and Storm/Ruin and Rising. It's not Alina fighting within herself on whether or not she should obtain all the amplifiers to defeat the Darkling. It's not all about destroying something. No, the tone of this book was so much more... adventurous than Bardugo's previous trilogy. I wouldn't necessarily say more "fun", because there is no way I'd describe this book as fun like it's some lighthearted adventure novel, but it is certainly more reader-friendly, with less heartache and gloom and doom, and more laugh-out-loud, head-spinning action.I absolutely adore the cast of characters. Kaz is definitely my favorite, but all six protagonists get their fair share of page time. This book is written in third-person perspectives, each chapter written in a different character's perspective. Kaz is my favorite, because he is so tricksy and smart, mysterious and surprising, unpredictable and more caring than he would ever let on. I personally think he is the most fleshed-out character, and the most likable. There is something about him that is cold and hard, and it's really appealing. He is also HILARIOUS, with a great sense of dry humor. But then he is deadly and quite the murderous thief. We see so many sides of him, and I love and/or am intrigued by all of them. The other characters are equally as interesting! Inej is the Wraith, able to move basically without being heard. She is light on her feet and quick. Kaz saved her years ago, and she has worked with him since. The same with Jesper - he's worked with Kaz for years, and is basically Kaz's second-in-command. Jesper is such a flirt! And I love him. He is all about his guns, whereas Inej is all about her knives. Next is Nina, a Healer/Heartrender, who has been trying to have her former friend Matthias freed from prison for years. Matthias is the fifth person, a convict who is out for Nina's blood. He used to hunt Grisha before he was thrown in prison, but he especially wants to strangle Nina because she is the one who put him in prison. Lucky for himself, he is from the area that the Ice Court is located, so he is useful to Kaz, and Kaz springs him. Lastly is Wylan, the son of the merchant who wants the thing from the Ice Court brought back. Wylan is seen as weak, but he proves himself to be quite clever and useful. He is so cute!I know what you all are thinking - SIX characters?! Six perspectives?! Third person, which is cool, but SIX?! Sounds like a recipe for disaster, like in Legacy of Kings by Eleanor Herman. However, not so! Since the six characters in Six of Crows are basically always with each other (once they're gathered), it's not like there are six plots happening. It's one, with six cars on the road, instead of six lanes or six exits or merging areas or something. You all love my analogies, I know! But really, there isn't six different plots and six different locations and six different schemes happening. It's one, with six different brains and hearts. Very different from Legacy of Kings, which was confusing with all of its perspectives and plots. There are so many action-packed scenes! There is no shortage of crazy action and high stakes. You'll hold your breath during so many scenes, hoping and praying and crossing your fingers that Kaz doesn't screw things up (and really, he always has a plan). Bardugo did an amazing thing, in which she wrote the book from third person, so we are not privy to any of the characters' inner thoughts at all times. Hence why Kaz can pull off all that craziness and surprising the readers! My heart stopped several times, hoping there was another way that Kaz considered. He is so clever!Like I said above, I really liked the change in tone of this new series by Bardugo. Don't get me wrong, things get very "everyone-is-going-to-die-if-we-don't-do-something", but it's more like a "hold-on-we're-in-for-a-crazy-ride" kind of thing. The story is very intriguing, and the 400+ pages fly by. I will say that the first 50 pages took me a bit to get into, but once I was in, I was hooked.ROMANCE. Well. There are six people in the group... and, as you might guess, there are three pairs. No love triangles AT ALL. Three linear relationships. And the other nice thing - the romances in this book are barely there. Sure, the author does an amazing job of hinting more-than-friendships, or when a character is acting really friendly with another, or just plain old hints. But there are no steamy romance scenes or even passing romantic scenes. I really like this, because it's Bardugo's way of giving the romances time to grow. There are three sets of romances, on their own wavelengths. Different starts to each romance. Each can develop in books two and three!Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I was wary, because the Grisha trilogy was just "okay" for me, and the hype for this book was/is pretty crazy. HOWEVER. I liked it and I personally think the hype is warranted. This book is so different from the Grisha trilogy! In great ways! What I Did Not Like:Like I said before, the beginning of this book was a bit slow, and it took me a while to really get invested. About 50 pages or so. Basically, once the six of them are actually gathered together, THEN things start to get really good. This might have been closer to around 100 pages in, but you get the idea.Would I Recommend It:For anyone looking for an adventure (yay Bilbo), definitely give this book a chance! Make it your first Bardugo read. I personally think it's Bardugo's best book to date, but I know others really, really enjoyed the Grisha trilogy. Shadow and Bone was my favorite of that series, but I think Six of Crows is better. It's a fantasy novel with a lot of action, high stakes, developed and fun characters, and well-placed humor!Rating:4 stars. A huge thanks to Kel from Booked Til Tuesday for passing her ARC to me. If you all get a chance, give this book a shot! If anything, the cover is gorgeous and would look great on your bookshelf!

Highly recommended for fans of Kristin Cashore's Fire By Elf's Mama Six of Crows has magic, mystery, rich world-building, plot twists, and Bardugo's signature ability to immerse her readers with the visual quality of her prose. But it is the band of characters, their dark and complex pasts, and their relationships with each other - also often dark and complex- that is the stand out for me. The book is delivered through 5 different POV's (sandwiched between the first and last chapter told from additional POV's). Each voice hits a unique tone, chords of past indiscretions coupled with a pitch of agency; and their chorus masterfully builds to the edge-of-your-seat escape every heist story promises.Much darker than her previous trilogy, Six of Crows is certain to have greater crossover appeal to adults. (The book's stature on the shelf also signals the publisher's push to attract adult fantasy readers). I think there is something for everyone in this book.I dare any reader to pick it up and not cheer for Kaz and his crew.Highly recommended for fans of Kristin Cashore's Fire, Shannon's Bone Season series, as well as, The Italian Job, and the Ocean's Eleven franchise.

Michael was a low-life and caused his own fate. I also had no sympathy for Gina, she got what she deserved especially after what she did to Cheryl. I wonder what is the story behind Cheryl's "dark side". Also I don't understand how Ivory's hair fiber got on the button down shirt Michael was wearing when she left prior to him putting it on and supposedly did not come back until after the murder. Hmmm. Anyway. I loved the story and enjoyed it a lot. Glad it was a standalone too.

It had me hooked from beginning to end. Ok the ending I never saw that coming. I love books like that. It keeps you entertained and guessing until the end. That Michael wanted his cake and ice cream too. How the heck you try to hold on to something you've treated so badly. I guess sometimes you realize the grass isn't as green on the other side. Oh well karma is a B. Cheryl wasn't as slow or weak minded as I thought haha. That woman planned everything to a T. I was even surprised. I think Issac is just what she needs in her life. I would definitely recommend this book and advise you guys not to sleep on Chase Monet. Oh yes thanks for the full novel with no cliffhangers. Although, there could be another book this one was just fine.

Never happy with what he had at home a faithful woman, he was a lying, cheating, dirty dog. Cheryl was a little slow why did she accept Michael's other women, and the cheating. Ivory got what she deserved, with friends like her you don't need any enemies.Isaac is the type of man most of us woman dream of loyal, honest, and a one woman man. I really thought is was Gina who lost her mind and did it. This story had me stuck until the shocking end.

The Order of the Round Table was legendary, and its members were well known for doing the impossible. Jasin Támariz and Tatiana Richfield were no different. Their first impossible task had been accomplished – two women with unknown backgrounds had been accepted as Knights of the Round Table. They had more than earned it. Now it was time for the harder part – eliminating the one that would see it destroyed. The catalyst was already identified and Jase and Tash vowed they would find a way to make sure that catalyst could do nothing to influence the state of Camelot’s security in the world. They had put too much of themselves into making that a reality already, and they are certain they can handle the cost. They know they cannot stay; that ultimatum was declared to them early to help them define their duty. In order to keep the continuum laws, they must return to their own time once the task is complete. Their advice is one simple key instruction, cryptic and nearly absurd in the scope of their duty: “Be careful to guard your hearts.” It turns out to be easier said than done and in the end they must learn that there are some things that just can’t be controlled, no matter how much blood, sweat, and tears are shed.

9 of 9 people found the following review helpful. My 2 year old loves this book! By Lauren Boucher My 2 year old loves this book, and bounces when I pull it out at bedtime. After a few days, he has started pointing at pictures, and says things like up, down, banana, star, happy, sad, bowl, hat etc… The book is colorful, with pictures of real life objects cut-out on various solid colored backgrounds. Here is my overview of what is in the book.1) The book opens with the alphabet. The alphabet is paired with animals, starting with alligator and ending with zebra.2) Numbers are paired with food. Numbers go from 1 to 10 and the food items are mostly fruit and vegetables.3) Colors start with a picture of a rainbow. Then, there are 7 pictures of colored objects showing each color of the rainbow.4) Opposites goes through quite a few important concepts. Included are, up/down, in/out, hot/cold, wet/dry, front/back, on/off, open/closed, empty/full, safe/danger, big/small, asleep/awake, long/short.5) Shapes pair objects with the following shapes. Circle, square, rectangle, triangle, cone, star, oval, and heart.6) Sounds demonstrate a variety of noises, from animals (monkey, cow, rooster), people (sneeze, hush), and objects (phone, drum).7) Actions shows pictures of kids as they crawl, roll, walk, run, hop, ride, kiss, and jump.8) Emotions shows expressions on kids faces for happy, sad, angry, scared, frustrated, shock, surprise, and bravery.9) Sports identifies different types of balls, showing baseball, basketball, tennis, soccer, volleyball, football, and golf.10) Engines shows pictures of different types of vehicles, like fire truck, car, race car, helicopter, airplane, and truck.11) Sizes shows small, medium, and large varieties of flowers, berries, leaves, and toys.12) Body, identifies head, shoulders, knees, toes, eyes, ears, mouth, and nose. I love singing this page.13) Tableware shows, sippy cup, bowl, pot, cup, plate, fork, knife, and spoon.14) Clothing runs through hat, shirt, pants, shorts, gloves, sunglasses, socks, and shoes.15) Bath time shows a toddler in a bath, soap, and a rubber duck.16) Bed time shows a kid brushing their teeth, a potty, book, and a child sleeping in bed.17) Activity. The book ends with an activity page, asking kids to identify the different images on the page which look like they were randomly selected from different sections of the book. My son will point to them as I read them out loud, and only struggles with two of them. This book was absolutely worth it. It is an excellent resource to teach my son a whole bunch of words and concepts. Highly recommended.
