They are very colorful and a great transition for when kids are ready to read chapter books but miss the color and illustrations. I highly recommend this entire series.

I used to wonder if people could walk on clouds and this book has got me wondering again. Airavata-the elephant with seven trunks each a different colour of the rainbow-has some very inspirational words for the Thea Sisters about believing in your deepest wishes and most secret dreams. The Wind Elves speak with math riddles , The Scarlet Lightening Fairies are always very angry and hate people but trade if they desperately need to , Ariette-a Weaver Fairy-is very kind and compassionate but throughout most of the story she is sad , The Hundred Handed Giant is quite friendly but is cursed to always keep his hands busy or he will die , The Colour Pixies are friendly if you can make them laugh-they get their name because they are the ones who paint the clouds , Queen Nephele is quite nice but is sometimes judgemental , Galatea is probably the kindest fairy in the story because she risks all her powers for her best friend , Sleep Fairies are sweet but are not much help , The Songwing is a bird with golden wings and he is the cause of most of the story's trouble-He is also very stubborn.I recommend this to any girls age 7-12. You will enjoy this book

I was at first disappointed in that the actual poetry and writings seem to be lost in a fog of other writers and what they have to say either about themselves or Browning. I really wasn't looking for a history of the works. I suppose I can continue on and may eventually find what I was looking for. One read on this will most likely be "it".UPDATE: Jan. 5, 2013Well, I tried again to find something redeeming about this work. Just couldn't do it. Anthing that wears me out like this I really don't need. No point in taking up space on my Kindle with it. I will be deleting it from it and my library today.

Gordon For those who think that the Shakespeare authorship question is something new, this book will be a revelation.Morgan surveys the literature and biographical hand-me-downs dealing with Shakspere of Stratford, concludinglogically that the Stratford businessman cannot be the same person as the writer of the plays. He points outthe name "Shakspere" was originally a French name "Jacques Pierre" that was badly pronounced by Englishsettlers around Warwickshire. And he tells readers frankly about the messy world of printers and plagiariststhat was Elizabethan England. The Stationers Register had total control over printed matter, and when aprinter got his hands on a written work he could do anything he wanted with it. That's why most of the printedplays in Shakespeare's day were pirated, and why the First Folio was composed primarily of prompt copies oractor's part scripts, not the original and complete play. Morgan also writes with a delightful wit and lucid style.

Then I grew up in this beautifully rugged, but often difficult, land; and gained that “feminine as a rusty fishhook” reputation by doing many man-type jobs. However, time would show I still did ok with the boys; and this story extends past my early years. It was nice when the lake was frozen over and lots of snow on the ground so we could ice skate and ski; all right there near our home. What fun! But winter also meant using my own dog team and working a trap line starting at age eleven. Summers meant lots more work to help with fishing and freighting; but there was also the fun of boating, swimming, hiking, and all kinds of wild berries to pick. Our family were all fully Bible-based Christians; so Bible-study with prayer gave us comfort and help during many trying times and tragedies. It also made our social life more interesting, and drew many in need of help to our home. It was such a comfort through it all, to know that God was on our side.
