About the Author Dr. Maureen Neihart is Associate Professor of Psychological Studies at the National Institute of Education, Singapore.Steven Pfeiffer is a professor at Florida State University, where he is director of Clinical Training. Steven served as executive director of Duke University's Talent Identification Program (TIP). Dr. Pfeiffer is a licensed psychologist who works with gifted children and their families in counseling. He is author of a new gifted rating scale and his research investigates emotional intelligence, leadership giftedness, and early talent development. He also has an active practice as a sports psychologist, which he views as complementing his work in talent development.Dr. Tracy L. Cross is a professor and the Executive Director of the Center for Gifted Education at The College of William & Mary.
