Unique and practical perspective on leadership By Amazon Customer A well-written and thought out book with practical lessons for everyone.Pei uses Jesus and Christianity as the vehicle and basis for the leadership advice, but the lessons are very real-world and applicable to everyone regardless of spiritual beliefs.He also does a good job using real-life experiences of his own and using them as teaching points to provide examples of the lessons at hand.As with many books of this nature, a lot of the points are things we already know...but there are also a few new key insights and perspectives we hadn't thought about.Anyone trying to learn to be a better leader can benefit greatly from the perspectives and tips from this book, which are very different than the typical self-help leadership books.

What does it look like to pursue a happy vs. a meaningful life? The life of Jesus was not just about a good teacher, but about someone who challenged our natural instincts and the way things were done, even as they are done today.Drawing from the “Beatitudes” from Jesus’ famous “Sermon on the Mount,”the author illustrates leadership from what Jesus did, not just what he taught.Written in a fireside chat style, it’s easy to identify with the author’s own personal experiences as he reflects on leadership from an eternal perspective woven into his own life.If you’re a Christian, you may be familiar with some of these ideas already, but it’s helpful to get the author’s real-life applications, especially in a leadership context. I would take the application questions at the end of each chapter and discuss them in your small group.For those who aren’t Christian or used to "go to church" awhile back, this book may challenge your preconceptions about Christianity or at the very least get you to think about how you could be a better leader who really changes lives.

Enjoyed and still savouring By Viji Roberts Enjoyed and still savouring!I loved the connection between the Sermon on the Mount and the leadership lessons. Biblical principles as always is applicable to any kind of leader who wishes to practice great leadership qualities.
