About the Author Rhonda grew up in rural towns of Nebraska, moving to Lincoln in her freshman year, and graduating from Lincoln High School with honors. Her high school creative writing teacher helped her to develop her love and passion for writing. Rhonda writes non-fiction and poetry primarily and her work stems from personal experiences including her career as a caregiver. She has been published in four different issues of The Lincoln Underground, a literary magazine, is a member of Nebraska Writer's Guild. She wishes to continue pursuing her passion for writing and perhaps be a contributor to magazines as well. Despite having experienced some traumatic events in her life, she is determined to remain optimistic and wants to help others who might be facing some of the struggles she has faced personally, to let people know that what has happened to them does not define them, that people who survive harsh circumstances can also thrive and live a life with meaning and purpose.
