By Lois Shulman WOW, so hopeful. This book should be read to our children and by every human being. This book holds the promise of PEACE ON OUR PLANET. This book gives hope to human beings for our future on this beautiful planet we call earth. The authors have written to each of us in our own uniqueness. The authors speak to the reader with one voice with clearly definable words. The authors share their experienced passion for their friendship and their work. Through the techniques they themselves used to achieve their own unique friendship the reader realizes that it is possible to achieve understanding, compassion and love for ourselves, our families and our communities near and far. It is possible to achieve peace on our planet. I have practiced the techniques in this simply written brilliant book. My experiences using the techniques in this book have brought me joy and hope. This beautiful book has brought me the tools and guided me. I intend to be the change I wish to see in others.

This very needed book for our crucial times illustrates the possibility of coexistence, possibility for peace. Harnessing The Power of Tension teaches us how to use tension to deeper our understanding, respect and care for one another in all dimensions of our lives; in business, school, work, community- wherever it may be. Brenda and Samia show us how important it is not to let tension use us, but instead build alliances with people that we share this world. We cannot escape tension. Let's learn how to embrace and use tension so that we can start creating a just, peaceful and safe future without pain and misunderstanding.

Indeed much of its power as a tool is precisely in the testimony. Brenda and Samia did not allow themselves to remain captives enslaved to their own pain, but showed/show how the very painful can actually be a tool for healing. Their work is reminiscent of the words of the great Hassidic master Susya of Anipol that only when one knows the pain of the other can one learn to love the other. Pain diminishes us if it leads to egocentricity and insensitivity to others; but it can ennoble us when it enables us to be even more compassionate towards others.
