The book gives down-to earth advice that anyone can easily understand and implement. The format is like a workbook that gives you space to complete exercises on each step so that you can get the most out of the information for your personal situation. I particularly liked what they call "The Format" which is a communication technique for conflict resolution. A great manual to help you choose and develop your relationships.

An intriguing and sweet story.By Dina S. on October 15, 2015Format: Kindle EditionThis is a heartfelt story of Pat wanting to find her birth parents. She and her husband are Private Investigators which helps them along the way to find to her original roots. What she finds leaves her with many emotions but the knowing that she was loved by many.Debbie White wrote with such passion that this story touched me in many ways. I was not adopted but never knew my father, so I understand the wanting to know. This is a tender and sweet story. I look forward to her other books. I did receive this copy in exchange for an honest review.

The journey she and her PI husband Charles, go to find answers kept me entertained throughout the book. I couldn't put it down and some parts were very emotional and had me in tears. Truly a lovely story.

Debbie White did an excellent job on the story and the characters. Pat and her husband , Charles , are private Investigators and are pretty good at their jobs. Pat has known that she was adopted when she was little. It bothers her that she does not know who her real parents are. She carries us on a journey where her and Charles go to see if they can find some answers about Pat’s real parents. I was not adopted , but the last really got to me because of my mom. I was trying to finished the story and did not want to put the book down till I reached the end, but the tears got to flowing really hard and I could not see to read, so I had to get the kleenex to wipe the tears away . I really enjoyed this story and the characters. Debbie White did an excellent job of Pat and her wanting to find out who her parents were. If you did not know , would you want to know who your real parents were? Would it bother you not knowing who your family was?I was given a complimentary copy of this book for my honest review, which I have given.

These Bad Ass girls highlight a memorable multi-decade journey By Chloe Before anyone screams because I've given this a 4 star rating, let me say that having read Terry's debut novel, Saving Gracie, anything else she writes simply cannot compare. Lee's first amazing book left an indelible mark on me and there are many times I recall lines from SG, as it reminds me of my relationship with my daughter. I'm sure others disagree with my rating for Time Trials as it is a well written, engaging journey showcasing the differing lives of college friends and the variety of changes they encounter over time.Author Lee provides readers with background on all the Bad Ass Girls, thusly showing us how family dynamics influence who we become in adulthood and how we learn from mistakes - or unfortunately repeat them. I was enticed by this recap of long term college friendships, because I attended three colleges for about one year each, and the only college friends I remain close to today are those from NYU. This proves distance doesn't matter if the friendship is solid. Time Trials covers a multitude of emotions that will have readers laughing and crying.I absolutely adored the way all characters were developed from their college years through senior citizen status - some with children and grandchildren of their own. Beginning with the death of one of the BAGS, these pals reunite and give us a peek into how true friendships impact our lives, no matter how much time passes and how infrequently we see or talk to one another.

Winter M is for Marching is a great way to reinforce with children the milestones in the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. including the March on Washington, the Civil Rights Act, and the Letter from the Birmingham jail. At the same time it invites adults to revisit the impact this great man had and continues to have on America. For all ages, it reinforces the values embedded in King’s legacy. Lines from the poems like “Tolerance is the drummer of Martin’s band” and “The place of each person is at the mountain’s quest” use metaphor to provoke us to reexamine our beliefs and to consider how we can act as models to carry on King’s legacy. The poems, written in rhyme, feature both true and near rhymes, providing a rhythm beneath the performer’s words and enhancing the effectiveness of an oral performance. In her introduction Hills provides a helpful properties list that would make the staging of the candlelight ceremony a no-brainer for all who want to create a moving atmosphere.

The poems are educational and thought-provoking. I, personally, would love to see this work become an annual community event. Poems read by those who are moved by the words and chosen by the celebration committee to share each year on his birthday. Next thing I know, she's sending me pictures of her first dinner for the family!! The grin on her face was ear to ear!! Even the picky sister loved the dinner. Now that's a compliment!! Great investment for this Grandma, when I visit, I know I'll be eating good!!!

Makes me wish Christmas was already here, that's for sure.For such a short read, there's a lot going on. You have two childhood friends trying to figure out their feelings for each other, an unexpected childbirth, two stranded donkeys and a long blizzardy night. What could possibly go wrong, right?I really enjoyed reading this story and also liked all characters. Mich and Annie make a great couple, once they give in to their feelings. There was a time, where I tought that it may be too late for them, but at the end it all worked out perfectly. I also liked that they both worked in the same field, Annie as a nurse and Mick as a paramedic, and would therefore know what the job requires from their relationship in the long term.Mich was probably my favourite character. He knew he was in love with Annie for a long time but never got the courage to tell her that, because of his fear that him telling her that may change their relationship for the worse. I'm glad he did man up at the end and that we got to see some steamy, sexy scenes. ;)As for Annie, I could relate to her situation and her conflicting thoughts about giving her and Mich a shot. She has been burned many times before and simply doesn't want to lose her best friend, in case things don't work out. After she has had some time to think about it all, she does make the decision, that leave Mich and us, readers, happy.In the end, Miracle of Love is a short, enjoyable read worth your time. I definitely recommend!

By Avid Reader Miracle of Love by Allie Boniface - Mick Rentas fell head over heals for Annie McKenzie but was there too many times when she'd gone through a breakup and couldn't risk being the one to hurt her. Wrong side of the tracks Annie is a waitress about to finish nursing school while proving she can be somebody and make a difference with her life. The two are stranded with friends at a local Bar and Grill in a blizzard when several more folks arrive, one very pregnant. Mick can't hold back his feelings for Annie any longer but is Annie willing to risk their friendship on a relationship?
