About the Author Matt Cunningham was born into a large Anglo-Irish family in North London in 1969. Taught by his mother to pen rhyming 'thank you' cards, he developed a passion for writing at an early age, which later led to a successful career as a copywriter in the both the US and UK. He married his wife Alison in 2007 and in May 2009 their first child, Molly May, was born. Diagnosed with Type 1 Spinal Muscular Atrophy at just eight weeks, she died two weeks before Christmas that same year - a brief, loved-filled life that inspired 'A Girl Named Dennis' – Matt Cunningham's first book.

This book is not only for those who may understand the authors pain but for anyone who has felt the joy of parenthood and how precious that is. I look forward to reading more from Matt Cunningham.
