From the Author This was an emotionally difficult story for me to write, but was one that I felt I needed to release from my soul. Not only for my sake, but for the sake of others who may be living the same reality I was. It sat on my hard drive for months after I had it written waiting for me to be okay enough with the pain to be able to edit and publish it. By no means is it only my story. It is the story of millions worldwide. It may be very difficult to read and understand, as commented on within the story due to the very nature of the story and that yes, my children were just as much a part of this story as I was.A.N
About the Author Aalina Nyx grew up and still resides in her hometown of Calgary, Alberta. Aalina took to writing at a very young age and has written many works of literature that clutter her office and her computer alike. Her newest piece, "That Woman" takes a big leap from other stories she has written in the fact that it is autobiographical in nature and not sheer fantasy. At some point you realize the greatest stories you have to tell are the ones deep inside your soul. "That Woman," is that story for Aalina.

"That Woman" is one of those stories that you won't soon forget. It may be a quick read but it is a very powerful one. There's no graphic details of the domestic violence which is good but you do get to really feel how she felt living with daily abuse and all that goes with it. The story starts out by grabbing you quickly and brings your through her story and her children's. Thankfully she escaped and she speaks directly to the reader that may be living with domestic violence and seeking to escape. Highly recommended read.
